The City of Eastvale has officially launched the Eastvale Library Giving Campaign! It has been a goal and priority of the City to build our own library for our 70,000 residents. At the January 2021 Strategic Planning meeting, the City Council noted an Eastvale Library as a top priority in our commUNITY, which reaffirmed the 2018 Strategic Plan priority for a public library in our City. Each year, the City Council has set aside reserves for the design and construction of a library. Earlier this fall we also released an RFQ for an owner representative and bridging architect to help design the library with commUNITY input.
To further move this effort along, the City is now launching a giving campaign, which was started by a commitment pledge from Randall and Janell Lewis to donate $2,500,000 to the City of Eastvale for the support of a public library to be built by the City. The entire City Council ceremoniously accepted this donation at the 2021 State of the City event on October 7th as a special announcement and officially at the October 13th City Council meeting. The Lewis Family also donated the first book to our City Library, which was the Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein.
